For some reason I had issues getting this to appear on the blog so I attached it as a file as well. 

Well about 5 minutes ago I heard that cha-ching sound like when the daily group dividend pay outs out in the wee hours of the morning. I had already gotten my daily dividend today, but looking at my account balance, and then at transaction history it seems group dividend has released funds for a 2nd time this morning.  Honestly, I like that because I hate having lindens tied up in group where I can't access them if I needed to.  I just thought it was weird and I don't recall ever getting my group funds twice in a single day.  I have had it forget to pay me a few times.  Thats stressful for sure, especially if you need some of the funds in there to cover tier, or it effects your buying power.  I hope the double pay times today doesn't indicate a no pay tomorrow.  But anyways it got me to thinking.  How hard would it be to ad a button to group settings to release group funds?  That would be such an awesome feature and save a few problems.  I can't even tell you how many times I have bought land from people who had the land group deeded, and they didn't realize that the money would go to group.  Several times they planned to take that money and get a new lot elsewhere the same day, but were unable to because the money got tied up in group until the next day. I'm not sure how hard a release group funds button would be to ad, but it would be awesome!

I log into the WSE everyday, I look at announcements, and I just look to see whats happening there.  I just finished logging in, and see that the site has a new look.  The home page also reads, Get Ready....4.0 is coming soon!  I like the new look and hope thats a good indication that the site will be up and running soon.  If your involved in the WSE, go have a look!

Sorry my blogging has been slow lately.  Just been handling more RL, and a forum addiction on SLUniverse, so figured I'd just check in.  So crazy land week have been having eh?  All in one simple official SL blog entry, all of our estates were devalued 40%.  I took it as a bit of a slap in the face for every sim I've purchased in the last year.  And ya know honestly I think lower prices will be better in the long run, I just disagree with the way it was handled.  I think the estate decrease should have been gradual so that people and the economy could have adjusted at a reasonable rate.  A decrease like that makes everyone holding sims feel like they were cheated and kills customer trust.  When estates were 1675 average resale value was 1K-$1100 because of transfer, and sometimes move and renaming fees.  The resale value now is going to be incredibly low compared to the original $1675 paid.  I'm guessing 5-$650 range. Had it been a more gradual decrease people could have adjust better and not felt as cheated.  Now if only they would lower tier.... I won't hold my breath.

Today on Jack Lindens Blog "Mainland and the Ad Farm Problem", Linden Labs finally openly talks about the situation and takes action.

"So whilst advertising in itself is okay, where it crosses the line into
harassing behavior or visual spam, where the intent is purely to compel
another resident to pay an unreasonable price to restore their view -
then this will be covered under Harassment in our Community Standards.
Such cases should be abuse reported as you would any other Terms of
Service or Community Standards violations, so that the governance team
can take the appropriate action."

I don't want to be overly happy about the situation just yet because I suppose it will take a little time to see how well this really works and if it helps clean up the mainland, but I can't help but be excited. Mainland and Linden Labs have gotten such a nasty reputiaon over the last year, this really helps restore my faith in both. After all mainland has always been my first Love in Second Life.

What exactly is the ad zoo?

Timo- The Ad Zoo was a wasted 1024m2 lot with some loose 16m2s inside of it transformed into a kind of Zoo... Instead of animals people can read/learn here more about a selection of top-advertisers (virtual animals) : who they are, how to block them and where to find some help/assistance. If people want to see what kind of people are spoiling SL this Zoo is certainly the place to be.

What gave you the idea?

Timo- I create The Ad Zoo after Torus Frog cut a 1024m2 into 2 odd shaped pieces (spirals) and some loose 16sm2's. I was able to get one of the odd shaped ones he offered for a low price. At first I planned to block some future advertisers on the other part of the land. The other parcel was captured by Voomland bots and after negotiating with them they were very friendly and set it for sale to me at a low rate. Then still i had to deal with 4 pieces of 16m2 inside the 1024. I felt like i had to do something creative with this land. I met some residents from the sim and felt somehow sorry for them. So i decided to keep this land just to block the advertisers in a creative way. Because the land was chopped by a Frog and the center piece was bought by a Panda it wasn't so hard to come up with the idea of creating a Zoo.Farms enough already :(. Further ideas came up while I was and still am working on it.
