So Does 75,000L (Possibly 145K) for 5 Days on a Half Sim Seem Like a Fair Deal to You? (REVISED)
Submitted by Sarah Nerd on Mon, 11/12/2007 - 19:47.In world I have a group called Honorable Land dealers association. I created the group because I was really getting tired of the land groups I was in that didn't really stand for much, accepted any and every dealer, and were spam monsters or just places for people to try to sell you land via group chat. In my group, I invite anyone who asks and agrees that they abide by a higher code of ethics in land dealing. When I get a complaint about a member of the group, I take it seriously and along with a spectacular group of panelist, try to mediate the situation. If mediation does not work, we talk and decide on if we should keep or boot the member. We have only had to use this process a few times, and so far it's worked out really well. I think were a really fair group, and people have been more than willing to accept the mediation and try to work it out. I feel bad that we were not able to offer any type of support for a person who had a complaint and offered to blog his experience because it's about the only form of help I can offer at this point. Fair warning... this ordeal is a long read. It all started when I received this note card.

Yea I'm F'in crazy. $50L skins and hair on a trial run.
Submitted by Sarah Nerd on Tue, 06/12/2007 - 17:38.As a special offer and trial run, I've lowered all skins I normally sell for $390-$500L (originally $800-2000L) to $50L. This is an experiment to see if I am able to make up for the loss of the skins normal cost with quantity. If it does, then skin bin will be forever merged with my store Nifty Fifty, where all items including several hairstyles are only $50L. Don't let the price fool you, these are top quality items from myself, and retired items from sl's top designers. I just believe that quality items should be available to everyone at an affordable price. If this does not work out I will go back to my $500L pricing on skins. So check it out, and get an incredible price on skin and hair!

Hunter High will be reborn as Halo Community College
Submitted by Sarah Nerd on Sat, 05/26/2007 - 16:56.Yesterday I started to rebuild on the lot where Hunter was at in Freswick (See my picks in world). It's keeping basically the same format building wise (a "U") with a few small changes. It will take me a few days to a week to get it to a point where I'll feel comfortable enough to accept a traffic flow and a little longer to be totally finished. After the major portion of the build is complete, Hunter will be reborn as the all new Halo Community College. (Halo is a nails reference just in case you needed to know.) I wanted the new name to begin with H so that everyones uniforms, rings, and likewise would still be functional. I wanted a new name for a fresh start. Unlike Hunter, Halo will only allow characters that are 18+ so that we fall safley under all the new rules and regulations. Instead of a Principal, we will have a Dean. Instead of teachers, Professors. Although this will be a bit of a change, this will allow alot of new possibilitys. Sororitys and Fraturnitys for example. But it will still be an educational platform that allows for a variety of classes, and the ability to still have professor/student fantasy role play if thats desired. I'm hoping this new set up will be an acceptable compramise for everyone involved. Please join the Halo Community College Group for updates.

Interesting im about Hunter High
Submitted by Sarah Nerd on Fri, 05/25/2007 - 16:21.I logged onto an interesting im from a regular at Hunter High. I changed the name to "private" for well... privacy.
14:36] Private: when will you start on the Community College, me and it looked like some others were interested
[14:37] Private: oh and I learned from a friend of mine that it was a sting operation that closed Hunter, a guy came in and took photos, and 2 people were planted to act
[14:37] Private: then they sent the photos to the lindens
[14:38] Private: they tried to do the same thing to Hentai High but they were caught before they had a chance
For the record dirty people like sljoe coming in and creating story's out of nothing more than to 30somethings role playing, or as far as I know sending in his own alts to create news was not the sole reason for my choice to close. It was a combo of all the new rules and regulations, player harassment, age verification, and media attention weighed against what I felt was the best move for me, my family, and my investors.
Lately I have been strongly considering reopening Hunter as a community college, or starting totally new with new groups ect. Reformating to fit all the new rules and regulations, enforcing it as all characters 18+, and basically playing it safe while still having a cool place to hang out and role play. I really miss having that extra venture and project that allows to me always have something to work on and better. I think when I get a little time this week, I will start to rebuild the area and work on getting it going again as it's new self.
Just one unanswered question I have in all of this.... Is it really that easy for one or a few players to set up another player or establishment?

Skin Bin Finished
Submitted by Sarah Nerd on Sun, 05/20/2007 - 20:03.For anyone who was not aware, I bought out several retired skins from Skin Doctors, and from a few other designers. I have finished setting up the store "Skin Bin" that can be found in world at NineInchNerds (139, 242, 23). I will list all skins and skin sets that originally started out at $790L-$2000L for under $500L so that they are more affordable to the general public. Feel free to check it out!

Hunter is officially closed for now.
Submitted by Sarah Nerd on Wed, 05/16/2007 - 14:46.Due to Robin Lindens comments stating that any type of under 18 rp being punishable, and people like sljoe coming in and filming players at Hunter without consent for media purposes, I've closed Hunter for now. I cannot risk losing my account which is how I support my family. I'd consider reopening as a college in the future, but will avoid venues of a sexual nature while the moral police decide weather it is acceptable for consenting adults to act out common fantasy. I'm sorry it has come to this. Please see me in world if you'd like a class ring.
