Sophrosyne's Saturday Salon: Artesia and User Communities

Guest Host Grace McDunnough will welcome Salon Spotlight Guests iAlja and IYan Writer of the consultancy Artesia for a discussion of user communities in synthetic worlds.

Yan Writer and iAlja Writer are co-founders of Artesia, IYan is the CEO and iAlja is Community Architect. Artesia is a start-up company, focusing on user communities. Located in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia (European Union), the team includes experts from the fields of user communities, software project management, media communications, mathematics and computer science. IYan Writer has business and computer science university degrees and have worked for companies including IBM, Microsoft and the largest local mobile operator. His background is mainly in software development and project management (projects ranging from 10k EUR to 1 M EUR). iAlja Writer is the first Slovenian graduate of Media communications. She has worked as an online tutor for the Faculty of Management and has extensive community and learning community platform experience.
