LANDBOTS LANDBOTS WHEREFORE ART THOU?

Well, well, well....Landbot Merlin was before my time....but people check this out!Landbot Merlin apparently is getting rich (one landbot at a time). When you see how much Merlin is charging for them ... wow ....

Montelli Vantelli is in the KNOW...a very, nice man....funnier than hell and is creating an open source landbot (it is in the testing stages) that he will be making available to the residents of Second Life before too long. His will be available for a minimal amount if any. You might remember Montelli, his land was held hostage for 10K Lindens by Celene Ballinger not long ago. (Yeah she gives mistakes back)

Apparently he isn't the only one who has been playing with codes.

And then there is the one about the
LANDMACHINE. Now if I owned more land I might be interested in that one!
Are monsters being created? The Lindens have refused to do something about landbots......what are they going to do now?
I can see it now........landbots everywhere....I might as well just give back my land now.

NOT ME................................

This is bob perry. just want you to know this is not my work. I cannot complete the one i originally tried to make. Also I do not sell on ebay, as I had planned and wanted to sell it inworld.

Thats why I only deal with estate land.

Over the last - probably 4-6 months - I have found that I can manage land-on-a-server better than Linden Lab. :-)

Indeed

"I can see it now........landbots everywhere....I might as well just give back my land now."

This was mentioned at a meeting recently, the way to fight landbots is to ....have your own landbot who in theory will buy your mistakenly lowly sold land back for you before someone else's bot gets there.

Planet of the bots!

It's not the infamous

It's not the infamous Landbot Merlin, just someone using a similar name to confuse eveyone into thinking that. The eBay user name "PresidentPERRY" seems more like Bob Perrys work if you look at this blog on landbot invasion.

And as for the LAndmachine, I'm going to be switching over to that system soon. Features are to good to pass up and it will save me a lot of time in dealing land.

ahhhh...life imitated -again

All too often in life, when strife or desperate circumstances invade our privacy, our homes, our security, etc, often they old phrase "Fight fire with fire" is remembered. Now early man is often credited with uttering the simple, broken phrase "Fire is good", but in this case, I'm torn.

Although I'd love to co-write, contribute to a landbot all could own(and THAT event would likely finally bring some Linden action, negating the bots) land that was freely available.

Unfortunately, all too often many feel if we were robbed, it's time to buy a gun. And while I hate what has happened to Jez, the bot are my 2nd choice, mounting a larger and more compelling Linden petition seems the clean answer. -but only if it has a chance of success, which has fallen on deaf ears thusfar.

Must we all arm ourslves with the same nasty tools used to take advantage of us? Let's hope not. Such a move will only target unsuspecting newbies and thereore be bad for Linden business. SO really, they(collectively) need to just fix this "exploit"....as a coder of C, php, sql, and such...that's what I'd call it. If it goes against the integrity of the 'game', then effectively it's cheating. -or so I have felt in games I have created.
