The [w:World Bank] is holding an event within Second Life to present the 'Doing Business 2008 Report'; the event is listed here.
It is interesting that the World Bank chose to do this within Second Life. I'm not sure that it is particularly good, though - as Canuckflack wrote:
...It’s a noble effort and an example that the World Bank and its’ partners are looking for new ways to communicate their ideas - but Second Life has not proven its worth as a communication tool...
...How are the clients of the World Bank - many of them living in remote corners of the internet - supposed to sign on for this report launch?...

Well truly speaking, I never thought that the World Bank or any of its section would be interested in Second Life.Intially though we can take it as a good sign whether by going through an event or anything like such, but time will tell why the World Bank has shown its intereste in SL.Hope the outcome is good and profitable. tower defense
