Yesterday, Osuntomi Melendez sent me an invitation on Facebook to use the Second Life Link Application (login may be required). It is an interesting tool which connects Facebook and [w:Second Life]. Real people would want to be sure that they don't mind losing their anonymity, of course, but for [w:social networking] it can be a useful tool. Further, you can invite your friends to use Second Life from within Facebook.
If you receive an invitation or install this Facebook application on your own and you already have a Second Life account, you will then be requested to teleport to English Village (150,163,144) with a code to verify that your avatar is who you say your avatar is. The SLUrl from within Facebook didn't work for me, so I pasted it here.
If you're interested in using Facebook and Second Life together like this, the easiest way may be to visit English Village (150,163,144) and use the handout there.
Fire Centaur, who is also involved with the SLoodle project and Joomla SL deserves some props for his work in these areas - though personally, I prefer Drupal.

Maybe this is the nudge I
Maybe this is the nudge I needed to join facebook. I've always loved Myspace, but having a direct connection with Second Life is pretty cool.
