IBM Protest Scheduled For The 27th of September

The first real world inspired strike in Second Life looks to be pretty well organized. First mentioned here, it is about the €1000 loss per IBM employee in Italy.

The latest release has some comprehensive instructions on how to participate, including a log in point and contingency plans for too many avatars on a simulator and/or IBM closing the simulator down. But the interesting part was the reference to IBM's own employee guidelines as well as a note on griefers:

***legal note for IBM employees***
Usage of SL is permitted by IBM following the Virtual Worlds Guidelines for IBM employees (http://domino.research.ibm.com/comm/research_projects.nsf/pages/virtualw... ) You can join the SL protest during normal working hours ONLY if your national union declares an official union initiative (it's also regulated by national law, please check it). If this isn’t the case, please join the demonstration after working hours. We will have support from 18 countries of IBM employees worldwide which will cover activities over the 12-hour protest period on the 27th September.
__________________________
Important note about “Griefers”: As this Protest is a public event, we may attract, as public events invariably do, some avatars who might only be there (it could be IBM sent people or simply people who don’t like public events or unions) to cause grief. They might insult other avatars, offer them animations that will harm their avatars or place objects that are inappropriate at the Protest locations. If you see anything or hear anything that seems incorrect during the Protest, please immediately contact “uniglobalunion oh”, “hayduke ebisu” (English) or “Barillo Kohnke” who will take care of the situation. Thank you!

It will be interesting to see if this works and if so, how well it works.
