Yeah, it slipped my mind. Today is the 4th Anniversary for SecondLife and I was only reminded when I got the server notice:
Philip Linden will be speaking live from the SL4B region shortly. The video feed is at mms://videolinden.serverroom.us/videolinden
MMS, by the way, is for Windows Media Player. Mac and Linux? Philip doesn't want to talk to you. Deal with it. I tried to look at it on a Windows system, but (surprise, surprise) the server is busy.
What's the big deal? Heck if I know. If he isn't talking about my billing problems or any number of other community concerns in a way that communicates "It is fixed" in so many words, I don't quite see what the point is. But I'm sure there will be lots of people saying lots of stuff, gushing and overflowing...
I suppose I only really want stuff that works. Can we do that? Or is this a talkathon - again?
Happy birthday, SL. Time to get toilet trained - as long as that isn't broadly offensive. :-)

mms://
actually, i could see a few minutes of the stream on Linux Ubuntu Feisty. i runned the command
mplayer mms://videolinden.serverroom.us/videolinden
ok, cool....
may have been a quirk on my older Ubuntu system... need to update that distro. On Winblows, I still didn't get to see it. Server's busy, blah blah.
I'm sure that Philip said something with the words juxtaposed. :-)
