Prospero Linden is no longer with Linden Lab, in the blog comments regarding a reference to his Wiki page which says he is no longer with the lab Prospero says:
"Yeah, I'm just finishing out this last rolling restart. Clearly, I have enough on my mind that I screwed up the beginning of it :|
Re: my alt's land, I need to tier down a lot due to the uncertainty of unemployement. (I was at the 1.5 sim mainland level.)"
I must say this is a mighty surprise to me. I haven't spoken much to Prospero but he has been active with the community as part of the server team, providing updates and information and explaining why changes have been made.
One of those recent changes certainly upset the community when the decision was made to limit the number of prims one could take into inventory at one time. Jira SVC-4207 is full of angry comments from builders, whether this was the straw that broke the camel's back is anyone's guess.
The departure certainly seems to have been a quick one with Prospero talking of unemployment rather than of new challenges. The general reaction I've seen so far has been one of disappointment and that includes those who were disappointed with the recent changes.
I would hope that Linden Lab have someone lined up to replace Prospero who will engage with the community as well as Prospero did. I'm sure he will be missed and I wish him all the best for the future.

However... Projects such as OpenSim might actually be able to roll new physics versions into the server code if Intel's ownership results in better coupled processor and software development. Of course, Havok isn't open source, but the BSD License of the OpenSim project would probably work well with that.

I haven't done that since before I found SL. I'm about a week and a half into it now and think I am officially hooked.

Does anyone know who the current Director, Customer Relations and Inworld Content Lead?
I saw these posted on lindenlab.com and was wondering if these are new or replacing recruits.

Jack is Director of Customer Relations, Cyn is his boss I believe, it really wouldn't surprise me if Cyn is on her way out, she's one of the few old senior managers left.
