Drama at Bear Infohub
I think everyone can sympathize with not being able to get into there home sim, which is the first reaction most people had to this post in resident answers on the official forums. Lias Leandros presents herself as a victim. She has land in the sim of Bear thats she's had for some time, and she's upset about the traffic that the Bear info Hub gets. She dislikes the people there and claims that the sim fills and she can not get into the sim. The deeper we get into the thread, the more we learn about the land used by her and notorious ad lot dealer Ryan Radio. It seems Lias has been in a year long war with the info hub. She simply does not like the people who hang out at the hub, and has been "fighting back" by arming the newbies at the hub with guns, filling the area with ads, and filling her land with camp pads to fill the sim and prevent people from entering the hub. I have been to bear a few times in the past and remembered it as nothing more than an info hub with newbies, a few random people, and mentors sitting around to help the newbs. Nothing uncommon for an infohub. With all of the ruccus on the forums I decided to look at Bear again. I went earlier this week. There were maybe, 7, 8 people standing around. No biggy in my opinion. Lias "work" was in clear view. Huge FREE GUNS Signs, FREE MONEY signs, and various large rented ads. It didn't really fit the wood lodge theme at bear. When the fuss kept going I decided to look again a few days ago. This time I landed in sim center and flew to the hub. Passing there land I was spammed with several advertising landmarks and note cards, and objects like guns. All owned by Lias. She is obviously using the info hub traffic to her advantage for advertising and to grief. There were more people this time, a large circle of Lias and her friends. The whole situation kinda bugs me because, I can't see any of the problems she was complaining about. The only wrong doing in the situation is what Lias is doing to that sim, and the people who regular the hub. It's classic spam dealer behavior, "If you don't give me what I want, I'll make the whole area look like shit and make your life hell".
Generally land surrounding an info hub is highly desirable because of this built in traffic flow. Lias is obviously using that traffic to her advantage to advertise with unwanted spam, and huge rental ad signs. She throws down any reasonable suggestion that she's given on resident answers and resorts to calling anyone making suggests "Stupid". I'm pretty convinced shes in this for publicity, and the sake of argument but you can decide on your own.
If your caught up in this situation, tomorrow at 10am sl time theres a planned party at the info hub to protest her griefing behavior, and just have fun. One of the finest DJ's in sl Dancien Graves will be organizing the event and providing a winap stream for people to listen in. I'll be there will bells on.

Bear Infohub is a nice place
I just HAD to check out the evil Bear Infohub, after what Lias Leandros said in that SL official forum post of her's. And, boy, was she right! It's horrible, a real barnacle on the ship of free commerce. In fact, It's so bad that I satyed for an hour getting really NICE and FREE stuff at the NCI area---stuff a new player might spend many thousands of Lindens for if he tried to buy the same FREE items from for-profit re-sellers like Lias' buddy Ryan Radio.
I also checked out Lias' retail area across the street, and picked up a free copy of an M-16 rifle. Wow, what a shitty-looking item it was, too, lol. Most of what she sells looked ok, but nothing great, and certainly nothing that could ever compete for customers who see the high-quality and FREE items over at the NCI area in Bear Infohub. No wonder Lias is pissed off.
Thanks for the heads up on this Lias person's selfishness, and for alerting me to a really fine place to get some free goodies. Almost as nice a Sarah Nerd's Freebie Paradise, but not quite. :)

FYI, when I went back a 3rd time to grab a quick pic to ad to this blog there were 6 people on my radar the whole time I was there. I went afk for a 20 mins or so, came back I was still in the same spot, no one messed with me and there were still only 6 people.

Nah, I don't mind at all. Maybe if the people on the forums see what she has done to that area, they will have a better understanding of how dirty she is.
