It would be madness to go public anytime soon. The world economy is rocking, even more now that an American bank has had to be rescued.

In terms of the business world using Second Life to hold virtual conferences, then sure stability is an issue but you're right, business wants access to the users and that's a more important consideration for them. Whilst the users are here, business will keep looking here. Eventually one or two of them will find the key to the resources available.
