Tiny Empires My Favorite New Game Inside of My Favorite Game.
Submitted by Sarah Nerd on Mon, 12/17/2007 - 08:03.The last few days while doing my normal Second Life activity's, I have been playing Tiny Empires. As the information note card explains "Tiny Empires is a massively multilayer game that you play entirely in the HUD window in Second Life. The game is set in medieval England, during the time of feudalism: 1100-1300 CE. The goal of the game is to grow your empire by purchasing land, by gaining followers, and by earning gold." It's easy to get started, You simply wear the trial version HUD. Every few minutes the HUD automatically switches over to the next turn. Each turn shows you offers where you can do things like buy land, accept or offer bribes to switch kingdoms, answer questions for gold, or make choices on how to run your empire. Each turn equals a month. Your rank is determined by how much land you own. The land owned by people under you also goes twords your own land count, so the more people you can get to follow you the better. You just need to make sure the people you find are loyal to you because if they are lured away to anouther by gold, you lose the land count of that person and anyone below them and that could result in your own rank drop. After the trial period the HUD costs $500L.
I enjoy this game a lot because it's slow paced and doesn't take away all of my attention. That allows me to play this while I do my day to day SL activity's like looking for land, building, hanging around with friends, and anything else you can imagine being done in SL. It's simple and fun to play during the slow periods of SL.
If you get the HUD in Kitster and find that you like it, Here are a few things that helped me out.
Erzsabet's Tiny Empires Calculations...Quick calculations to the TE math triva questions that pay out gold.
