After working my ass off for several months, then having to back off due to RL getting in the way of my time on here (plus getting my SL business up and running)I have not mentioned anything about Landbots in awhile. So thats what I am going to do now!

My feelings about awareness are the same. I believe its all about educating noobies. How?, you may ask. Well, as I mentioned to Sarah Nerd tonight, since LL is so reluctant to become invovled and change codes, or whatever they would have to do, whether it be a small change or a large change, I am going to change my tactics. I am now asking for LL to help me get information out to noobies in 2nd life, or just noobies at land buying. A "What you need to know about Land Buying in SL BEFORE you buy land" note. Explaining what Island property is, what mainland is. What can happen on them if they do not take proper precautions, etc.

How would it get to them? Instead of petition koisks, put it in free or noobie areas. Make it visible, not hidden, accessible, not blogged.

I am sure I could find more help putting them out then I got in response to those who have been taken by a landbot.

Even if there is a free or low cost script out there to make your own landbot, it will not help noob's. They have to be aware of it before they can use it. So, again, its back to EDUCATION.

I realize how intimidating it might seem to come in new to SL and have someone tell you about the hazards of landbuying. But it would be better to be armed with knowledge then find out the hard way.

Don't drop the issue - keep it going. EDUCATE your old friends and new ones. Walk them through how it can be done and how it should be done...

It is all about AWARENESS! Make Some Noise!
Remember, also there is power in numbers. NO ONE can make a change alone.

FYI - Class Action Suit - Marc Woebegone jumped ship. When, I am not completely sure, but he left the Group he started and left me as owner (nice to find out the hard way). The group was immediately closed. Again, my goals are and always have been to make a change. I had several interviews while Marc was hot news, but no interest when he became 2nd page.
