I think if I worked in LL's PR dept I would cut my losses and change my approach. I would pretty much turn off comments, cancel all office hours and make it plainly clear I am not listening. Then I would go ahead and do what I was gonna do anyways saying, "Here's the plan. Like it or don't. You are either along for the ride or not." At least that way I would not be a hypocrite and a fool. Yes, I would still be a fool, but at least I wouldn't have to listen to people telling me I was and better yet I would not have to live up to any expectations whatsoever.
