Re: Sorry Second Life, but I'm seeing other games.

I play both SL and WoW, and I like them both alot, but they aren't really competing for my time; for me they're completely different.  I play WoW when I want nice simple tasks to do, well-defined goals, no drama (to speak of), no long discussions (just "okay, sap the ogre when I say Go").  I go into SL (I don't think of it as "playing") when I want to build stuff, see friends, dance, listen to music, and all that (and when I'm feeling social enough to be bombarded by IMs from the instant I log in haha; I really need to make a friendless alt for exploring).

Right now WoW's getting a little dull: I have two characters in the 60s, half a dozen or so in the 20s and 40s, and a new one under lvl 10.  The problem is that every one progresses through basically the same set of areas and quests (well, one set for horde and one for alliance), and once you've done them, you've done them.  I mostly do solo PvE and pick-up groups; maybe if I did more stuff with the same guild I'd get to know them and it'd be more interesting again.  But then I'm sure there'd be drama in WoW also...  :)
