Hmm...
There's a million dollar question hangs over all of this - who's gonna pay the million dollars to make it happen and why should they? The Linden happy-clappy dream of interconnected worlds will only happen if there's money in it, that's the bottom line. Show me the revenue stream that flows from this idea and we're on to something. All that's visible right now are potential ways to destroy the existing (very lucrative) revenue stream SL currently floats on.
One of SL's continuing problems is that the platform is led (by the nose) by its dev's - wonderful people all, but apparently clueless about business and with only vague ideas about what SL residents actually want. Trouble is that those two elements are what keeps SL online, ignore them at your peril...
