Rousing Question
"Stephanie's death hit me hard, why? I am not quite sure."
As an academic with two degrees in psychology, I guess I'm supposed to point towards regression. You have certainly lost enough loved ones to cancer. I suspect your involvement in RFL follows those experiences. Now Artist Fimicloud's name is added to the list of people you honor through your volunteer work.
But as a person with his own history of tragic loss? I've taken great comfort in not knowing 'why.' Too often the pursuit of 'why' leads to the embrace of an answer that does little more than allow the person to assume the 'question' is solved and no longer an issue. So I appreciated your acknowledgment that you simply did not know. What followed your admission was a course of action that was no doubt inspired by your feelings - sharing a piece of Artist Fimicloud's life with us.
A wonderful reminder that it's not always necessary to let analysis run amok in understanding feelings.
However, an analysis of the individual not overanalyzing their feelings is quite appropriate ;)
