Don't just stand there, let's get to it

change your pose there's nothing to it.

That's one thing I've really liked about Madonna, she's sure knows what works. What is it now 25 years now of re-inventing, self-fashioning herself ? Doesn't matter much whether you like her or not, she's been pretty much been making news, staying current and most of all interesting to follow. I always liked her and she's always known how to stay interesting. If you get too dull you loose them , too out there and, well that's sooo tired !!! What ever happened to Andrew Dice Clay, who cares anyway's right ?

It's time for a little re-inventing for me as well. I'm not sure I'm quite the right fit here anymore, nor this post, as I've wanted to branch out for quite a long time and write about other things I find interesting as well...

Just looking at what does work...

What works with Facebook, Myspace...

1-RL social networking
2-It's extremely easy to use
3-Runs on everyone's PC
4-Does not have to be downloaded

I think their numbers show what works, if you want the big numbers in terms of members you need to also look at what works. It’s the simplest RL social networks that are having all the success.

Une raison d'être

Graphita-tf8dbcdsI recently signed in “Inworld” after being completely out for a couple of months and my first realization was, I don’t have anyone to talk too or hear from. I was thinking it was like a list of my RL messenger contacts. I do have my friend’s list, but what I really wanted was to talk and hear from RL people. So no one from RL to talk too, hmm so what else can I do here?

Having a Siesta

Having a Siesta.
My hard drive had to be replaced a couple of weeks ago and since getting a new one now have decided for now anyways, not to install it. I read not long ago how Nobody Fugazi was happy about having backed up a lot of his files as he had gone through a similar experience. So remember everyone to back up those files because you just never know when your hard drive or whatever decides to do an 86 on your PC. I really hated seeing that Blue Screen when turning on the PC one day and learning that the hard drive was borked.

Way to go........Hillary.........Yes!

Well I always think of USA as the center of the universe, next to mine anyways, (Canada) and was recently looking at all the groups for Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. I was kind of surprised to see that there are over 2000 members in these various groups. But more so, I wondered from which countries these people might be from, and to what they think about the issues of these presidential nominees

Back to Basics

Last year in January I went premium with the annual membership of $72. I joined in the fall of 2006 and pretty quickly thereafter got into real estate, which does not require membership. This brings me back to last January, the month I decided to go premium and try out the mainland.

I saw that there was also money to be made land flipping on the mainland after studying it for a while and realized I could make back that initial $72 premium membership I paid for very quickly. It was fun then making a little money and finding waterfronts at a slightly marked up price from what the Sim buyer had paid for it (we all want out cut of the pie) that is the reason people buy and sell land after all, to make money! There’s a place with soft walls for people who invest in real-estate only to break even or loose money.
